Provisions, my Masters of Fine Arts Thesis exhibition, reassesses food and eating, a basic human necessity. Thematically centered on local and self-sustaining food practices and operating in artistic, didactic, and activist realms, Provisions strives to bring people into closer touch with their food physically as well as mentally. It is inspired by the notion that sustaining oneself is a fulfilling activity that is predominantly lost to contemporary culture. The title Provisions represents both a gallery installation as well as three Spring Eats Workshops: that took place outside of the gallery space:
